This could be one of my favorite shoots each year. Moosejaw Mountaineering is a Michigan based outdoor retailer. This time last year they invited me along for their spring shoot in Lake Tahoe - I was so stoked to be asked back, and better yet... they brought my brother, Zac Shankland along as the male model and my good friend Aubrey Roper to help assist. They happen to have some of the most hilarious individuals with extreme talent. I spent a solid week talking in accents and getting a six pack from laughter. Everyone we worked with was awesome but I have to give a special shout out to the fabulous Mr. Rob Dawson ( first photo above ) He is the photo director for MJ and a huge inspiration. I'd also like to mention Angela VanWiemeersch - one of the badest chicks I've met in the industry. Angela chases first accents ice climbing all over the world. She is currently headed to Nepal - Check out her travels and more---> @angela_van_stein on Instagram. We spent 7 days traveling around the Red Rocks of Nevada shooting camping, yoga, swimsuits, hiking and lifestyle for the upcoming 2015 spring catalog.
